Party Mom: “Mixed Bag”

Party Mom is the project of Kayla Smith, a New Jersey native who spent six years as the guitarist for Glycerine Queens. She grew up playing music and recording songs in her basement. Having taken a long hiatus from making music, she’s back with her first single, “Mixed Bag” from her debut EP, Secondary, out on June 30th.
Recorded in her childhood bedroom, Secondary is a collection of dreamy demos that blend feelings of loneliness with an upbeat tempo. Relatable within a contemporary context with notable vintage influences, her music feels both familiar and entirely new.
