“What Kind Of Lonely Are You?”

The newest video release from Leona

While driving to Houston circa 2017, a recent high school graduate drove through a town called “Leona” and wrote it down for future band name ideas. Leona is now the solo project of 21 year old queer singer/songwriter Chloe Hendrix.
You can hear Hendrix’s hushed melodies paired with honest and vulnerable lyricism on her debut single ‘Honey,’ which was self produced through an iPhone voice memo on her bathroom floor in early 2019. Hendrix then released ‘Worst Part’ with the same voice-memo-recording process. During a trip to New York City that same year, Hendrix performed a live acoustic recording of ‘Like Home’ with Jonah Lorsung of Beatbath Sessions.
After a year long hiatus, Hendrix debuts her first music video ‘What Kind of Lonely Are You?’. It’s a gentle love song about openly falling in love with a girl, and the queer representation that she always desired hearing in a song and seeing on screen when she was young.
