Multiple life size LED light squares stand upright lighting up the way to the muffled and blaring pulsating music. The light pulsates back and forth coupled with a static electric sound that you only hear as you walk through this light portal to enter iii points. One of the first installations you see is Nonotak Studio’s “Tides”, which held a digital resemblance to minimal geometric works by Donald Judd. The piece itself makes you feel as though the rush of lights and sound are drawing you into the festival treating the entrance as the shore to the ocean of music and art.

Another work contributing to the musical experience was Haiiileen’s light sculptures, which unknowingly paid homage to Dan Flavin’s neon light works. The entire space carried pockets of light installations that all bore dynamic elements as well as being a digitally functional and interactive. Every work also displayed that of itself in either a series of 3 or more and that idea goes into the bigger framework of the festival. Captivating works such as “Aether” by Max Cooper and Architecture Social Club demanded the audience’s attention with its moving light playing in tune with the DJ set next to the Main Frame. Even in each stage there was a detailed light installation such as Main Frame itself, which would shoot direct spotlights to the floor giving an eerie parallel to Anthony McCall’s solid light works. Moreover, what truly made iii points so unique compared to other music festivals was it’s strong inclusion of fine contemporary art; bringing it to a more inclusive level for the audience.
