Charlotte Bumgarner is fresh to the indie scene as a solo artist debuting her first song titled ‘Honey Touch.’ Charlotte also plays guitar and vocals with friends in a Tulsa-based riot girl band called Graveyard Party.

The sound of ‘Honey Touch’ is gentle and blissful, buoyed by plucked guitar strings over the synth keyboard. Bumgarner’s lyrics “sacred heart, this time you’ve gone too far, and I knew you would” creates a longing yet peaceful feeling for the listener. Throughout the two minute track, the enchanting synth harmonies feel intimate and dream-like. The track gradually fades quietly and keeps us wishing for more.

Thankfully, ‘Honey Touch’ is the first release of a three-track series with Kansas City’s Manor Records and Garden Kiln, which will be followed by her debut album next year in 2021. This track will certainly be added to our winter playlists of hauntingly beautiful and sad songs to return to.
